SCA’s after school program provides an artistic and creative extended classroom experience for children in grades K-4. This exciting program is comprised of 4 disciplines including Music, Theater, Movement and Art. Students are bussed from Solon City Schools and provided a snack upon arrival. During the first week of each new Arts4Kids session, students are exposed to ALL of the disciplines (except guitar) offered each day that they attend. At the end of each day, students will then be given the choice of which activity they would like to participate in for the remainder of the session! This will allow the students the opportunity to experience the discipline that interests them most while continuing to learn about the arts in a nurturing and educational environment. The Arts4Kids school year is composed of 5 sessions, each approximately 9 weeks long, following the Solon City schools’ calendar. Classes are held Monday through Friday from 2:45 pm - 4:30 pm with Specialty Art and Theater classes held from 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm for extended care.
The Arts4Kids program follows the Solon School Calendar including teacher in-services, breaks and vacation schedules. If Solon Schools are closed due to inclement weather, Arts4Kids, Arts4Kids Plus! and Specialty Classes will also be canceled.
