Solon Senior Council

The Solon Senior Council consists of a volunteer group of 8 Solon residents over the age of 60, whose mission is to provide the City of Solon’s Department of Senior Services guidance and support to: enrich, assist and engage the older adults of the Solon community.

Meetings are held on the third Thursday of the odd months (January, March, May, July, September and November) at 9:15 a.m. at the Solon Senior Center. Anyone interested in the activities and programming provided by the Department of Senior Services is encouraged to attend.

Each representative on the Solon Senior Council co-chairs a committee of volunteers designed to support the Department. The Committees include: Community Support and Advocacy, Fundraising, New Member Welcome and Senior Center Activity Support. Representatives serve 2 or 3 year terms, with 4 terms filled each year.
