School Year Programs

LABOR DAY – MEMORIAL DAY 

OPEN SWIM
The Solon Community Center Indoor Pool has regular Open Swim Hours after school and on weekends during the school year. Members and guests can participate in many activities, including swimming laps, playing on the slide, using the  stream / vortex area, and other facilities.

Mondays -Thursdays 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Friday 3:30 - 8 p.m.  
Saturday & Sunday Noon - 5:30 p.m.  

*On weekdays when there are no swim lessons scheduled the pool will open at 3:30 p.m.

ADULT LAP SWIM
A minimum of 2 lanes are available for adult lap swim during all regular aquatic area hours. Members may also walk in the current stream and water exercise the majority of the day. Adult Lap Swim is for ages 14 and above during all hours except during Learn to Swim (18 & Over).   
   

Monday - Friday 5:30 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday   8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

 

ADULT & TODDLER SWIM
Weekdays during the school year the Indoor Pool is open in the early afternoon so that parents with non-school age swimmers 5 years of age and under may come in and swim with an adult. The water feature is turned off for the first 1.5  hours so that children may use the slide and get comfortable with being in the water. The water feature is turned on for the last 1/2 hour.  

Monday/Wednesday/Friday 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Tuesday & Thursday 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

* Toddler Swim will be cancelled on days that the Solon Schools are closed.

* Child must be accompanied in the water by an adult

* The Play Feature will be turned on at the last 1/2 hour of toddler swim.

AMERICAN RED CROSS LIFE GUARDING r06 CERTIFICATION
The Solon Recreation Department offers the revised American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Course. The new version contains the latest science in First Aid, CPR for the PR, AED, emergency cardiovascular care (ECC), rescue skills and safety protocols. This new and improved course will help potential lifeguards to concentrate on the basic skills and rescue situations that are most likely to occur on the job. Students must be 15 years of age by the last day of the course. Attendance is mandatory. Registration takes place at the Solon Community Center.
