this year’s recipient of the Ohio Water Environment Lab Analyst Award. This award is presented to honor an individual with direct responsibility in an industrial, commercial or municipal laboratory that performs wastewater related analysis. Providence House Honors Solon - At Council meeting on Monday, July 18, 2011, Providence House of Cleveland honored the City of Solon by awarding us with their “Community Promise Award.” Over the past 30 years the residents and business community of Solon have generously contributed $223,143 to the Providence House. These contributions have allowed Providence House to provide care for 164 babies and children.

Water Reclamation Employees Receives Awards - Water Reclamation is proud to announce that Paul Solanics received the 2011 Water Environment Federation William D. Hatfield Award for Outstanding Performance and Professionalism in the Operation of a Wastewater Treatment Facility.  Clint Krendrick received the 2011 Ohio Water Environment Association Professional Wastewater Operations Award in recognition of Outstanding Achievements in the Field of Wastewater Treatment Operations.

Solon Human Resources Director Honored - Congratulations to City of Solon HR Director Tom Cornhoff for being one of 3 finalists for Human Resources Executive of the Year for Non-Profit Organizations in the 2011 Crain’s Cleveland Business Archer Awards for achievements in human resources.  Candidates were nominated by their peers, and finalists were selected by a panel of judges.
