Solon Fire Rescue protects 20.6 square miles from three fire stations

Fire Station 1 - 5595 Harper Rd.
Opened in 1991, this 16,865 square foot building currently serves as the department's headquarters. Administrative offices as well as the Fire Prevention Bureau and Public Education division are located here. Four personnel operate a rescue squad, a pumper, a ladder truck, or a hazardous materials unit depending on the emergency.

Fire Station 2 - 6320 SOM Center Rd.
This 16,049 square foot building is located adjacent to beautiful Veterans Park, home of the signature gazebo. The station opened in July 2008 and serves the central area of the city while also providing backup to the other 2 stations. The main training room is located in this station along with accommodations for the Battalion Chief and 4 or 5 personnel assigned operate a rescue squad and pumper.

Fire Station 3 - 7401 SOM Center Rd.
Nestled in a residential setting, this 9,600 square foot building opened in November 2003. The goal of this facility is to provide rapid fire and emergency medical services to the southern portion of Solon and backup to other areas of the city as needed. Protection of the residents is accomplished by 4 personnel utilizing a combination pumper/ladder truck and a rescue squad.
