Aquatic Exercise

Water Exercise provides very similar benefits as land-based resistance exercise classes: you can improve cardiovascular health, increase strength and ultimately improve functional ability. Dry land resistance training requires equipment such as free weights, bands or tubing; in the water, the water is nature’s tool. Water is around 12 times more resistant than air; it has a stabilizing effect that is helpful in strengthening tuck and postural muscles to improve balance and has minimal weight bearing for the participant. Please try out 1 or more of the classes that Solon Recreation offers. Come ready to have fun and meet some great people.
