Officer Elizabeth Hurford has been busy spending time with Solon middle schoolers in the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E) program. As a certified drug recognition expert, she taught students about impaired driving, how to detect impairment, and the consequences. Students had the opportunity to wear the Fatal Vision goggles to simulate impairment. She would have students try to complete simple tasks like walking in a straight line or writing their names. Keep up the great work, Officer Hurford!
