February is Black History Month. Black History Month is the annual celebration of African Americans' achievements and a time for recognizing their central role in shaping U.S. history.
In celebration of Black History Month, each week we are highlighting one of our residents who is African American and their achievements throughout the month of February. We treasure the diversity of our residents, which is one pillar supporting our vision to work, learn, and thrive together in an inclusive and forward-thinking community.
We would like to introduce Dr. Edward Barksdale, Surgeon-in-Chief, Professor and Solon resident.
