As the Holiday Season comes to an end and a New Year approaches, it is time to begin the renewal process for all rental properties in the City of Solon.
Please take note of the following information to assist you in the renewal of your rental property(s):
- Commencing January 2, 2024 updated Electronic Forms are available on the City of Solon Website. These forms will be available to print out, or fill out electronically. Credit Card Payments are also accepted on the website.
- Registration may also be completed in person at City Hall in the Planning Department (34200 Bainbridge Road, Solon, Ohio 44139). Cash or Check will be accepted as forms of payment. Please make all checks payable to “The City of Solon”.
- If you wish to register by mail, please call Ms. Barb Janca at 440-349-6327. She will be happy to assist you.
- All property owners and agents will be required to have a mandatory Rental Inspection within the three year rental phase (2024-2026).
PLEASE NOTE: per City Ordinance Chapter 1489 both Interior AND Exterior Inspections must meet the minimum safety requirements outlined in the Ohio Building Code.

- Registration must be completed by March 31, 2024.
