Road and Tree Maintenance
Som Center Road Traffic Pattern Change - Posted 6/19/2015
The city's contractor, will be changing their work zone on SOM Center Road to allow for concrete pavement replacement and catch basin repairs in the southbound curb lane from Linden Drive to Ada Drive.
The new zone will provide for two lanes of northbound traffic in their usual two lanes. And, one lane of southbound traffic will be maintained in the turning lane at all times.
The work in this zone is expected to take two to three weeks.
The contractor will schedule their work conservatively with the understanding that the entire pavement area on SOM Center Road between Aurora Road and Ada Drive will be open and available to safely maintain traffic for the July 4th weekend.

Beginning Monday May 18th, the City's contractor will be replacing concrete pavement patches and repairing catch basins from Baldwin Road to the south corporation line. The work will begin in the northbound lanes starting at Ada Drive and work toward Baldwin Road. When the northbound lanes have been completed to Baldwin, the work will continue in the southbound lanes working from Linden Drive toward the south corporation line. From the south corporation line, the work will move back to the northbound lanes where the contractor will work his way back toward Ada Drive.
The contractor's work zone will move with his work and will be clearly delineated with construction signs, flashing arrow boards and barrels.
