Paczki Day is upon on once again and some local bakeries are gearing up for the festivities. Don't know what Paczki Day is?
Pronounced (ponch-key) Paczki Day, often referred to as "Fat Tuesday" is the last day before Ash Wednesday when Lent begins. A Polish tradition, Paczki are similar to donuts except using a sweeter, richer yeast dough made with eggs, butter and milk. These confections typically include fruit filled and creamed filled varieties making it a perfect addition to Fat Tuesday celebrations.
