Solon Job Fair – Nov. 15
The City of Solon is
partnering with the Solon Chamber of Commerce to host a job fair on Friday,
Nov. 15, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. The event will be at the Solon Community Center,
located at 35000 Portz Parkway. Over 60 businesses are participating and over 600
jobs are available.
“Over the last year, we’ve
had 50 new businesses come to Solon and several of our existing businesses are
expanding. Our businesses are hiring and we are hosting this job fair in
response to the needs of our business community,” said Angee Shaker, the City
of Solon’s director of business development.
Job seekers are encouraged to
bring their resumes and be ready for potential on-the-spot
interviews. “Whether you’re looking for a full-time, part-time or
seasonal work, there a positions open in every category,” stated Tom Bennett,
Solon Chamber President. “We have a tremendous business community here in Solon
and this event will help showcase the participating companies. We are expecting
a good turnout and are hopeful that it will result in a number of long-lasting
placements.”
The over 600 openings include
positions in service and retail, administrative and professional and
