LEGAL NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that Ordinance No. 2020-028, which is an Ordinance expressing the intent of

the City of Solon to sell by live auction property including antique doors, fixtures, windows, chandelier and various other property as referenced in Revised Code 721.15 which are no longer needed for public use or are obsolete or unfit for the use for which they were acquired, was passed by Solon City Council on February 18, 2020, authorizing such live auction to take place.

Live auction will be held by the City of Solon at 10:00 a.m. (EST), March 28^th, 2020. Buyers are permitted to view the items which will be sold as a lot from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. on the day of the auction.  Auction will be held in the bottom (back) parking lot of City Hall, 34200 Bainbridge Road, Solon Ohio 44139.  Starting bid will begin at $1,000.00 (USD).  A formal listing of items can be found on the City’s home page, www.solonohio.org.

All property from the City of Solon is being sold strictly on an “AS IS, WHERE IS” basis.  The City of Solon makes no representations or warranties concerning any item offered for sale and expressly disclaims any promises, oral or written, warranties, representations or statements relating to any item.  Further, the City of Solon, its employees, agents, representatives and officials, expressly disclaim any liability, responsibility, cost or expense for injury, death, or property damage that any item offered for sale may cause once the item leaves the custody and control of the City of Solon after its purchase. 

The highest and best bidder will be required to pay with a cashier’s check or cash.  The City will not accept personal checks as payments.  The awarded buyer will have 48 hours from the award to pick-up all items presented in the auction.  For questions regarding the live auction contact the Director of Finance, Matthew J.
