[ARCHIVED] Upcoming SCA Music Event

Marc Paige Pop Up 2

The Venner Clarinet Quartet invites you to bring a chair and a cup of coffee to Solon Center for the Arts on Friday, September 4 at 10am to start your Labor Day weekend with some music!

For three years, The Venner Clarinet Quartet has been making music together.  The quartet is part of the Venner Clarinet Choir formed by Theodore Johnson, former clarinet player with the Cleveland Orchestra.  Vicki Smith is a retired music educator who continues to teach in the area and is an active adjudicator for the Ohio Music Educators Association.  Caroline Stilwell is also a retired music educator and continues to teach as a private instructor.  Dick Ingersoll, who played in the 5th Army Band in Chicago and the 29th Army Band in Okinawa, chose a different career path but continued to play professionally in the Cleveland area.  Marc Paige is an area businessman who never gave up his love for music and plays in the Cleveland area in a variety of venues including the Solon Philharmonic Orchestra.  The clarinetists came together to play and perform through the shared love of music and they enjoy the variety of music available to a clarinet quartet.

The event is free but spots are limited.  Please register online by visiting the Special Events section or by calling Solon Center for the Arts at 440-337-1400.
