[ARCHIVED] Holiday Lighting (featuring the Hometown Holiday Market)

Holiday Lighting Square

Solon Parks & Recreation and Solon Center for the Arts are excited to host City of Solon’s Annual Holiday Lighting on Wednesday, November 25.  The Holiday Lighting is open 4 PM – 8 PM at City Hall and Solon Center for the Arts (6315 SOM Center Road).

This year, Solon’s Holiday Lighting will feature the Hometown Holiday Market, along with other family-friendly entertainment.

Get a jumpstart on your holiday shopping by supporting local artists and crafters at the outdoor market located in the Historical Society Parking Lot (33975 Bainbridge Road).  Approximately 25 vendors will be selling their homemade masterpieces, such as jewelry, gifts, home décor and much more.  The Hometown Holiday Market is presented in conjunction with Avant-Garde Art & Crafts Show.  Interested market vendors should contact Becki at specialevents@solonohio.org for space availability.

During this family-friendly event, there will be something to entertain everyone!   Food Trucks will be serving their specialties during the entire event, including Slyman’s, The Crooked Kettle Popcorn Co., Cedar Creek and Pop Culture CLE.  Multiple inflatables and games, SCA Dance Ensemble, live music, and other entertainment will be available for the children, and the young at heart, to enjoy.  Join Mayor Kraus at City Hall for the ceremonial lighting of the City at 7 PM, where we will official start the 2020 Holiday Season!

Guests must abide by all state-mandated COVID-19 safety protocols, including social distancing of 6 feet when possible and face masks are required.   Guests should monitor their own symptoms and should stay home if they are not feeling well.

Admission to the event and parking are free.

Please note that Bainbridge Road between the Solon Historical Society and Solon City Hall is closed for the event.  Please follow all detour signs from 3 PM – 8:30 PM.
