Dear Cuyahoga County Restaurateurs and Retailers,
Cleveland will again be on the global stage as we host the NBA All-Star 2022 on Sunday, February 20, 2022!
In preparation for the event, the NBA is seeking eligible Cuyahoga County restaurants and retail establishments to participate in its All-Star 2022 Rewards Program.
The NBA will leverage its event-focused app to serve as a one-stop resource for everything happening on the ground in Cleveland during NBA All-Star. A key feature within the app will be the NBA All-Star 2022 Rewards Program, a points-based program that will encourage fans to visit participating restaurants and retailers to earn points that will be redeemable for NBA prizes and experiences. The NBA All-Star Rewards Program will begin this summer and run through NBA All-Star 2022 in February.
To be eligible to participate in the program, restaurants and retail establishments:
- Must have a physical location and address in Cuyahoga County.
- Must be incorporated and authorized to do businesses by the Ohio Secretary of State’s Office.
Due to NBA partnerships, the NBA has stated that the following business types are NOT ELIGIBLE for participation:
- National restaurants, bars, or retailers
- Businesses that conflict with NBA partners
- Bars/clubs that do not serve food
- Breweries that do not serve food
Special consideration will be given for businesses that are at least 51% owned and operated by one or more members of the following designations: Black, Hispanic, Native American, Asian American, LGBTQ, Women, or Veteran. Businesses also have an opportunity to offer a special discount to customers through the NBA All-Star app. Businesses will be expected to promote their involvement using a QR code from the NBA, which users will scan to earn points after visiting the business.
If your business meets the eligibility criteria, you can apply by clicking the button below, no later than Friday, July 30, 2021. Submission of a completed application does not guarantee acceptance into, or participation in, the program. Once completed, an NBA representative will reach out regarding next steps. For questions about the program, please contact Anthony Dragona at adragona@nba.com.
Destination Cleveland will be in touch in the coming months with more details about the event weekend and how local businesses can prepare to welcome fans to our city. We look forward to working with you to create a memorable NBA All-Star weekend in Cleveland.
Moving forward together,
