Trick or Treat Celebration at Uptown Solon Shopping Center & Sir Troy’s Toy Kingdom grand opening
SOLON, OH – (Oct. 8, 2021) – The City of Solon and the Solon Chamber of Commerce are proud to welcome Sir Troy’s Toy Kingdom to Solon. There will a ribbon cutting ceremony and other Halloween festivities on Sunday, October 24 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. in the Uptown Solon Shopping Center on 6025 Kruse Drive.
Participants are encouraged to wear their favorite family-friendly Halloween costume. DJ Kris Koch will have limbo and dance contests. Police and fire will have activities for the kids including a visit from K-9 Mack and opportunities for kids to sit in a cruiser and firetruck. Businesses passing out candy or other goodies include Bed, Bath and Beyond, Pop Culture CLE, Orange Theory Fitness, Palm Beach Tan, Cuts & Curls and Big Frog T-Shirts. Surprise characters will be coming to Sir Troy’s Toy Kingdom.

Specializing in classic toys such as LEGO, open play figurines, board games, dolls, action figures, wooden toys, puzzles, arts and crafts, hobby items and sensory-centric toys, Sir Troy's caters to children of all ages. The ribbon-cutting ceremony on October 24 will officially open Sir Troy’s third location in Northeast Ohio. Current locations include North Canton and Medina. Heather Marks, Vice President of Sir Troy’s Toy Kingdom, says that the Solon location will be “Ohio's largest independent toy store at almost 13,000 square feet. Our other two stores, which are considered large by industry standards, are 9,000 square feet.”

Solon Chamber President Thomas Bennett says the ribbon cutting with Mayor Kraus and other city leaders will take place at noon. “Arrive at 11:30 and enjoy the activities throughout the day, this will be an enjoyable community event. We are expecting a good turnout regardless of what the weather will be like on this day.”
