Attention Solon #41 Riders and business community
To help address labor shortage issues and improve workforce mobility, the Greater Cleveland RTA is going to expand the #41 route into Solon’s Central Retail District. The expanded route will now reach SOM Center Rd and provide better access to jobs within the Central Retail District. The expanded route will start Sunday, March 20.
On March 20 the #41 will be extended in the City of Solon to serve Bainbridge Rd. and SOM Center Rd. The bus stops on Station St. at Melbury Ave. and the stop on Melbury Ave. at Aurora Rd. will no longer be served.
New stops will be available on Solon Rd. east of Station St.; on Bainbridge Rd. at SOM Center Rd.; on SOM Center Rd. north of Station St.; on SOM Center Rd. north of Aurora Rd. and on Aurora Rd. just east Melbury Ave.
“The expansion of #41 will significantly reduce walking distances for those who use the RTA bus to get to our core shopping centers and surrounding small businesses. Through the work of the Solon Mobility Task Force, the City of Solon has been able to identify gaps in service and The Greater RTA has been an outstanding partner in terms of being response to the needs of both the riders and our business community. Last year, the RTA added four additional bus shelters in our industrial area – up until then, we only had one in the entire city. We deeply appreciate the support of The RTA to our job hub,” stated Angee Shaker, Economic Development Director for the City of Solon.
