The City of Solon is proud to announce the return of Farmers Market for the second season. Our mission is to provide an opportunity for local farmers, food producers, and artists to sell their products directly to the consumer in a clean, friendly and community oriented environment.
Farmers Market is a destination where the community can stroll the market to pick up their fresh vegetables, grab a snack from a food truck, pick up a trinket from a small business, and gather with their friends and neighbors. And, we want you to be a part of it!
The Farmers Market is an important asset in our community; allowing farmers, food producers and artisans to connect with customers directly.
The Farmers Market provides a place for consumers to learn more about where their food comes from. Here, the community has the ability to connect with the farmers, and get back in touch with the productivity of our small local farms. By purchasing from the farmer, you skip the middle man and directly support the farmers, and you eat fresher!
The Farmers Market also allows local small businesses, including artisans, bakers, crafters, etc., the opportunity to showcase their specialty items to the community.
The Farmers Market helps bring the Solon Community, as well as visitors, to our local businesses and provides a gathering place for the community.
New for 2022, Specialty Days at the market have been added in. Each market, there will be activities for attendees to participate in, such as Pollinator Day at the Market where there will be an observation hive and kids craft, Storytime Day at the Market where Solon Public Library will read stories to the little ones, Move and Groove at the Market where attendees can join in on a free dance class, and more. Information will be released on Facebook.
