  2. Pickleball with Mayor Kraus

    A bit of tennis, racquetball, badminton and ping-pong all rolled up into one using a pickleball paddle. All players are required to rotate/play with all players in this session time, among all 4 courts. Pre-registration is encouraged due to limited participant capacity. Facemask requirements will be based on current state & CDC guidelines. Due to social distancing guidelines, pickleball will be limited to (30) participants for each session. Participants must bring their own pickleballs, with their name clearly marked, and chair if desired. Please contact the Solon Senior Center at 440-349-6363 with any questions.

  4. Summer Afternoon Patio Concert: James Marron (Classical Guitar)

    James Marron will perform a recital of solo guitar music that will feature music from the Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Contemporary periods. Each era will be introduced by a brief discussion of the development of the instrument as well as the change in musical style throughout history. Come and enjoy a bit of summer music! Classical guitarist and composer James Marron has established himself through dynamic performances of the latest in contemporary music, his original compositions, as well as insightful interpretations of the classics. A graduate of the Manhattan School of Music in NYC, Marron has performed in Italy, France, Germany, Ireland, Canada, and throughout the United States. Marron is on the faculty at University of Akron. This program is generously supported by Vitalia of Solon with assistance from University Circle Inc., serving seniors in communities with videoconferencing programs in Ohio and across the country.
